ABOUT
Welcome to Kind Minds Counselling
I'll start by saying that I'm A counsellor, but I may not be YOUR counsellor!
I know that may sound counter-intuitive when this is a website to promote my services, but I believe passionately in emotional honesty.
I am committed to open, transparent and simple communication and that means that I don't mince my words.
I can understand AND also challenge. I can be both empathetic and pragmatic, clear and concise.
I started my counselling practice after a lengthy career in corporate communications & management consultancy and have a track record of successful implementation.
I have personal experience of the challenges I work with which gives me valuable insight into what it may feeling like walking in your shoes.
I work with clients who want to overcome any and all traumatic life experiences, some of which stem from challenging family of origin or other influential relationships.
We'll create a tailor-made plan for addressing your specific and unique issues in a way that leaves you feeling in greater control.
My clients generally experience a reduction in symptoms within 6-10 sessions and significant & ongoing improvement if they decide they want to heal deeper wounds.
Although it may not feel like it right now, I believe that you are the expert on you which is why we will work at a pace and depth that suits you.
I try to be as flexible as possible, accepting that family and work commitments may mean that you need to change the time of your session from one week to the next. Many of my clients choose a combination of in-person and online sessions for that very reason.
For those attending in person, I work from a room in a peaceful, rural setting so you will need your own transport.
If you're unsure if counselling will work for you, or if you've tried it and it didn't, why not arrange a free, no obligation call by texting me on 07496 356416 to see if a more pragmatic, results-driven approach would be more suitable?

As a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), I follow their ethical framework which gives you peace of mind that I am committed to upholding the highest levels of counselling practice.

Paula has enabled me to build on 'me' and subsequently my issues have become easier to understand and deal with. Paula is a really warm and welcoming person. She put me at ease which enabled me to open up and discuss aspects of my life that I haven't shared with my family and friends.
I couldn't have got where I am now without your support. Thank you!
I was having a really difficult time expressing my feelings and emotions were
coming out in outbursts. Paula made my feelings feel real and I truly felt heard.
I couldn't recommend her enough!
Paula is kind, patient, down to earth, empathetic and really put time and thought into how she could support me with some very complex and traumatic issues I needed to work through. I have found it very difficult to trust people but found I could very much trust Paula. I would encourage anyone who is struggling to reach out.
